“ Went to the cage other day as good reviews. Wasn't all that impressed in all honesty, i ordered the home made chicken pie and chips, thought it was expensive for what I received. It was ok but the pie didn't have much taste sadly. Also had a latte and that was nice. Service was good and the lady that served us was polite. ”

The quaint decor is like stepping back in time and the solid wood furniture adds an extra layer of aesthetics to the dining experience. I had the breakfast with extra bubble and black pudding. There wasn't a speck of grease anywhere to be seen, all ingredients were of exceptional quality, especially given it is far too cheap for what you get. I was completely full half way in but it was simply too good not to eat it all. Seldom am I surprised by a cafe, but this one is a real gem. The staff are lovely too. ”
